The next Cambridge Seminar in the History of Cartography will be held in the
Gardner Room, Emmanuel College, Cambridge CB2 3AP
on Tuesday 19 November at 5.30pm.
The speaker is Hugh Torrens (University of Keele) speaking on:
Geologist William Smith (1769-1839) and his struggles to both earn a living, and finance his scientific and cartographic projects to 1820
