"Images of Colorado: a century of printed views, 1822-1922"
[cid:image005.png at 01D4FA8E.168E1FA0]
There were only a few printed images of what is today Colorado before the Pikes Peak gold rush of 1858-59. Once gold seekers poured into the region, followed by other settlers, prints began to appear of the settlements and natural beauty of Colorado. The history of these printed views provides a unique window on Colorado over the years.
Christopher Lane is the founder of Philadelphia Print Shop West and continues to appear as an expert appraiser on the popular PBS television program Antiques Roadshow.
