The ICA's Commissions on the History ofCartography and Topographic Mapping and the Bodleian Libraries of theUniversity of Oxford will jointly host the 7th International Symposium on theHistory of Cartography and invite theSUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS FOR PAPERS AND POSTERS. The organizers encourage contributions investigating the cartography ofAfrica, Asia, Oceania and the Americas as influenced by cosmopolitanexploration and imperialistic activity during, but not limited to, the ‘longnineteenth century’ (mid-18th to mid-20th centuries).
