People planing to attend the IMCoS & Nebenzahl meetings in Chicago in 
October might be interested in knowing that the Newberry Library, the 
meeting site, has posted a list of hotels which offer discounts to those 
attending events at the Newberry. The list can be found at 
https://www.newberry.org/accommodations-and-dining . The Talbott Hotel, 
on the list, is rated #2 of 182 hotels in Chicago by TripAdvisor. The 
standard rate at that hotel (not including taxes) is $225 per night. The 
Newberry rate (promotion code NEWBR) is $215. However if you go to the 
Talbott listing on TripAdvisor

you will see there is a special offer of 15% off. Clicking on that link 
will get you (promotion code TRIPAD) a rate of $191 per night.

I don't know how long that 15% off will be offered. You can book now and 
cancel 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid any penalty.

The IMCoS meeting starts with a reception Monday evening 24 October. The 
IMCoS banquet will be Tuesday evening, and the IMCoS meeting ends
