A brief report on the imaging project at the Beinecke Library, Yale 
University, led by Chet Van Duzer, to try to retrieve the faded 
inscriptions on the c.1491 Martellus world map.

'When the project is complete, probably sometime next year, the images 
will be available for scholars and the general public to examine on the 
website of theBeinecke Digital Library at Yale.'
