We are happy to announce the Preliminary Programme of the 
1st Symposium &Annual General Meeting of the 
International Society for the History of the Mapon Saturday, 30 June, 2012 in Budapest, Hungary 
is now available at theSociety's website:http://ishm.elte.hu/?q=node/24The ISHM Symposium in the morning is open, online registration required and isavailable on the webpage above.

All ISHM members are cordially invited to participate in the AGM where we 
elect the new Council, and discuss and decide the way forward.
In case you can not be there in person, pls, send you questions, remarks or
comments for discussion to the Trustees at: 'ishm.contact'et'gmail.com'

Before the ISHM event the ICA History of Cartography Commission holds its4th International Symposium 'Exploration, Discovery, Cartography' also inBudapest (28-29 June). This meeting offers a wide range of scholarly papers, 
mainly on the history of19th-20th century cartography, as well as social events.
