The 15th International Conference on Spatial Information Theory, COSIT 2022, is now opening our call for short paper submissions.
 
:: The conference
 
The conference will be held in Kobe, Japan, September 5-9, 2022 (http://cosit2022.iniad.org/). Established in 1993, COSIT is a biennial international conference series concerned with theoretical aspects of space and spatial information, aimed at advancing geographic information science. Spatial information theory is concerned with all aspects of space and spatial environments as experienced and represented by humans and also by other animals and artificial agents. The scope of the conference includes both the development of general theories of space and spatial information and testing these theories in applications to specific domains. Short papers may address aspects of spatial information from the viewpoint of any discipline including (but not limited to):

..Cognitive Science, Vision Science, Environmental and Behavioral Psychology
..Engineering, Human Factors and Cognitive Ergonomics

:: Short papers
 
Short papers of 7 pages (max.) present ongoing research that might not yet be mature enough for a full publication. Submissions will be reviewed for acceptance by the program committee. Accepted submissions will be presented at the conference either as a short presentation or as a poster. They will also be published in the open-access Leibniz International Proceedings in Informatics (LIPIcs) Series, available at: http://www.dagstuhl.de/en/publications/lipics.
 
Short papers must be written in English suitable for an interdisciplinary audience and conform to LIPIcs formatting guidelines (available at  http://www.dagstuhl.de/publikationen/lipics/anleitung-fuer-autoren/). Indicated maximum page numbers include title, figures and tables, and references. In the first round, short papers must be submitted to the COSIT 2022 EasyChair System, available at the URL https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cosit2022, in PDF format.
 
Short papers must be submitted by April 8th, 2022. Decisions will be made by May 9th, 2022. The final version will be due on May 15th, 2022. Registration deadlines for one author per paper is May 15th, 2022. Information about the registration and the venue will appear on the conference website soon.
