Dear all,

This email is an invitation to participate to two online experiments on
the cognition of interactive multi-scale maps. This research is funded by
the ERC, part of the LostInZoom project, hosted at LASTIG lab, from IGN
and Univ Gustave Eiffel. Anyone can do the experiments, there i no need to
be cartographer, so please forward this to colleagues or friends if you
liked the experiment.

The first experiment approximately lasts 30 minutes. It is designed to
assess how much disoriented people can be after a zoom in or out a
multi-scale map. To participate, please click on this link
<http://54.211.63.55/fogdetector/> .

The second experiment approximately lasts 20 minutes. You will have to
draw on a map to show the map elements that you find more salient and
memorable. To participate, please click on this link
<http://54.211.63.55/anchorwhat/> .

You can do either one of the experiments, or both if you have time, and
there is no best order if you decide to do both. You must carry out the
experiments on a computer screen, the applications will not work on a
smartphone or a tablet because the screen would be too small.

These two experiments striclty follow the GDPR regulation, there is no
personal data collected during the experiment.

Thank you in advance for your participation,

Guillaume Touya

PI of the LostInZoom project

Senior Researcher, IGN, ENSG, Univ Gustave Eiffel
