6.5. Verification

It is necessary to check up the data subset collected by digitization or in other combined way or originated from other organization as the content, topology and the data quality concerned and to compare with the objects, things and facts of the real world so that it meet the prescriptions conceived in this standard. This process is the verification. Only the state of the data subset got through the checking up and comparison with success can be certified as trustworthy.

During the verification it is necessary to study the inner and outer consistency.

The investigation of inner consistency is intended to determine, whether the data subset meets the requirements related to the data structure prescribed for the DAT, its topology is faultless, its content and data contains contradictions. This investigation is conducted mainly in software way.

The investigation of the outer consistency is intended to determine, whether the objects, relationship, attribute and data quality information correspond with the objects, things and facts of the real world within the tolerance limit prescribed in this standard, in guides of data acquisition and in the technological plan compiled when ordering the data acquisition. In the first part of the investigation a checking data acquisition is carried out on statistically chosen areas and in dimensions, but within that including all objects, attributes and their relationships. This is followed by the comparison, analysis and determination of quality of the verification.

The data of the checking data acquisition are stored in a separated database of similar structure with the DAT. The quality of the verification and the certification of the trustworthy state is entered the database DAT.

The technique of the verification process and within it the software performing the inner consistency investigation is uniform and publishable.
