We cordially welcome the foreign and local teams who arrived to our event. The organizing OL-Section of the Postás-MATÁV SC wishes you successful and pleasent racing on our 2nd 24-hour relay-event.

General informations


Teams: consist of six members with min. 2 women és max. 3 men of 19-39 years.

Training: 22nd May on the János-hegy map. Location according to the map on show in the competition centre.

Camping site: in the marked part of the Scout Park.
A buffet will be run at the camping site.

Map: M = 1:15000, according to IOF norms, made in 1998.
Plastic cover for the maps will be offered.
Maps will be collected after finishing.

Terrain: hilly character (150-400m), varied relief,mainly covered with clear forests and open areas. There are stony areas on the terrain. Due to the rainy springtime weather the vegetation is thicker in some areas than indicated on the map.

First start: 7.30 a.m. on 23rd May for the category I-12.
The categories T-24, I-24 will start at 9.00 a.m. (race time 90).

Description of the controlls(symbol) and their codes are shown on the map, which serves at the same time as controll card as well. See the sample map published ! The controll posts are equipped with punchers.

Start: close to the Finish area. Distribution of the maps according to the start numbers. The startnumber of the finishing racer will be announced when passing the last controll post. Individual participants wishing to take a relax between two courses have to report this when finishing ( by collecting the "relax card"). When starting again they have to start from the Finish.

Accomplishing the courses: The courses of the event have to be accomplished in a set order, but the order of the runners can be set freely. Except the first four courses which have to be covered by four different runners. Each runner have to accomplish min. two courses during the event.
The individual participants, too have to accomplish the courses in a set order. If they take a rest between two courses they have to ask for a "relax card" after finishing and when starting again after the rest they have to cross the Finish again (due to time measuring).

Type of the courses: courses of different length and hardness are changing- according to the enclosed table. The difficulty grade of the courses is changing within the courses as well, therefore the technical difficulty of the separate legs was evaluated between 1-4 and the average was calculated for each course. The higher this number is, the more difficult the course is (See the table!)The teams have to select the most suitable runner for the different typ of courses. In the last 60 minutes of the event every team can freely select from the remaining courses.

Calculating the result of the event:

Victory ceremony: 10 a.m. on the 24th May in the Finish area.
