Emergency communication lines between China and Italy were activated with the assistance of the Italian Embassy and the Ministry of Sport. </div><div><br></div><div><strong>According to initial reports, Debertolis — a 29-year-old civil engineer from Trentino who works in Stockholm — was competing as normal when his GPS device, carried by all athletes, suddenly stopped transmitting, indicating that he had stopped moving.</strong> This prompted an immediate rescue operation. He was quickly located and rushed to hospital, where he is now recovering under constant medical supervision. </div></div></div>
