<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Based on information provided by the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) and the bomb disposal unit of the Hungarian Defence Forces, a suspected explosive device dating back to World War II

 was discovered during construction works next to the Southern Building of the Lágymányos Campus of Eötvös Loránd University, while earthworks were being carried out.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif"> </span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Following the identification of the explosive device, the authorities have initiated the necessary safety procedures. The disposal of the device is scheduled to begin on March 19, 2026, at

 3:00 PM, and will be carried out by the bomb disposal experts of the Hungarian Defence Forces.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif"> </span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">In order to ensure the safe execution of the operation, law enforcement authorities have ordered temporary safety measures in the affected areas of the campus.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif"> </span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">The following measures will come into effect:</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Southern Building</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">The authorities have ordered the complete evacuation of the Southern Building starting from the specified time, for an expected duration of 3–4 hours.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">During the evacuation period, the building will be fully closed, meaning that neither entry nor exit will be permitted. Please ensure that everyone leaves the building in time and that those

 present cooperate with the authorities and university staff on site.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif"> </span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Northern Building</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">It is strictly prohibited to stay in the glass-enclosed area of the so-called “physics slab section” on the southwestern side of the Northern Building during the entire operation.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">The southern and western “pencil” entrances of the Northern Building will be closed for the duration of the disposal operation.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Access to and exit from the building will only be possible via the Danube-side entrance during this time.</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif"> </span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Applies to both buildings</span></p>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Aptos",sans-serif">Please collect any personal belongings from the cloakrooms no later than one hour before the buildings are closed.</span></p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal">A Budapesti Rendõr-fõkapitányság (BRFK), valamint a Magyar Honvédség tûzszerész szolgálatának tájékoztatása alapján az Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem Lágymányosi Campusának Déli tömbje mellett zajló építési munkálatok során, a földmunkák

 végzése közben egy feltételezhetõen a II. világháborúból származó robbanószerkezet került elõ. A robbanótest azonosítását követõen a hatóságok intézkedtek a szükséges biztonsági eljárások megindításáról. A robbanószerkezet hatástalanítását a Magyar Honvédség

 tûzszerész szakemberei elõreláthatólag <b>2026. március 19-én, 15 órakor</b> kezdik meg. A mûvelet biztonságos végrehajtása érdekében a rendvédelmi szervek ideiglenes biztonsági intézkedéseket rendeltek el a campus érintett területein.</p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal">Az alábbi intézkedések lépnek életbe:</p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal"><b>Déli tömb</b></p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal">A hatóságok a Déli tömb teljes kiürítését rendelték el a megjelölt idõponttól kezdõdõen, várhatóan

<b>3–4 órás idõtartamra</b>.<br>

A kiürítés ideje alatt az épület teljes lezárásra kerül, így sem a belépés, sem az épület elhagyása nem lesz lehetséges. Kérjük, hogy mindenki idõben hagyja el az épületet, és az ott tartózkodók az intézkedésnek megfelelõen mûködjenek együtt a helyszínen szolgálatot

 teljesítõ hatóságokkal és az egyetemi személyzettel.</p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal"><b> </b></p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal"><b>Északi tömb</b></p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal">Az Északi tömb „fizika lepényrészének” üvegfelülettel határolt területén (az épület délnyugati oldalán)

<b>a mûvelet teljes idõtartama alatt tilos tartózkodni</b>.</p>

<p class="x_xmsonormal">Az Északi tömb déli és nyugati, úgynevezett „ceruza” bejáratai a hatástalanítás ideje alatt lezárásra kerülnek.<br>

Az épület megközelítése és elhagyása ez idõ alatt <b>kizárólag a dunai bejáraton keresztül</b> lesz lehetséges.</p>
