During his stay in Budapest, he will offer four presentations related to "Historical Cartography in Geoecological Analysis". You are all invited to participate in these presentations. At the end of this message you can find the dates and places of each presentation together with a short description of its contents. Best regards, Jesús Reyes ------------------------------------------------------------------ José Jesús REYES NUNEZ, PhD. This will include an overview of its infrastructure, undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The Department of Geography and the Postgraduate Program in Geography at UFRJ will also be highlighted. Finally, the Cartography Laboratory (GeoCart) and the research projects developed within this laboratory, which align with the course, will be presented. 2ND PRESENTATION PLACE: ROOM 7.56 DATE: 7 April 2025, 2:00 PM Topic 2: LANDSCAPE DYNAMICS: ANALYSIS BASED ON GEOECOLOGY, GEOTECHNOLOGIES AND HISTORICAL CARTOGRAPHY This topic covers the fundamental concepts of Geoecology as a science of spatial analysis and its interactions with Geography, Cartography, Historical Cartography, and GIScience. It will discuss issues related to the construction of geoecological analysis models, based on identifying the structure, function, and dynamics of landscapes. 3RD PRESENTATION PLACE: ROOM 7.57 DATE: 9 April 2025, 10:00 AM Topic 3: ANALYSES OF CONTEMPORARY PHENOMENA SUPPORTED BY HISTORICAL CARTOGRAPHY Landscape dynamics: analysis based on geoecology, geotechnologies, and historical cartography to understand contemporary socio-environmental events. This topic discusses the concepts and definitions presented in previous topics and their practical application in understanding flood events in a Brazilian case study, with the potential for replication in other areas. 4TH PRESENTATION PLACE: ROOM 7.55 DATE: 10 April 2025, 10:00 AM Topic 4: BUILDING STORYMAPS USING FREE PLATFORMS This topic focuses on the geovisualization of diverse geospatial themes. The case study presented in the previous topic will serve as an example, and students will then be encouraged to create customized StoryMaps using the Knight Lab platform to meet their specific needs. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
