[StipHu] Holidays in Hungary/at ELTE

Dear Students,

let me call your attention to the following events/holidays:

Following bank holidays in Hungary:

1.      1st May – it is Tuesday, and we will get also 30th April as
holiday, so that there will be a 'long weekend' . Instead of 30th April we
have to work this Saturday (21st April), but at the university there is no
teaching on this day! So you do not need to come to the university. Shops,
and a lot of offices will be open on this day, and e.g. parking fee will be
charged for cars on this Saturday.

2.      21st May – Pentecost, no working day, shops and offices closed


Holidays at the university/Faculty of Informatics:

1.      partially on the 10th May: Neumann Day – lectures and practices at
Faculty of Informatics between 8.00-14.00 will NOT be held! Please note
that lectures/practices after 14.00 will be held! (Courses from other
faculties will be held regulary on the whole day!)

2.      for the whole university day off: 11th May Pázmány Day – no
teaching on this day


Please note, that exam period starts on the 22nd May – you have to register
for exams in advance in Neptun!
