We, GIS and Remote Sensing Laboratory of the National Centre "Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine", a member of the Copernicus Academy,  are pleased to extend an invitation to participate in the international competition "Ecoview" for K-12 students. This event is organized in collaboration with our international partners from the Fun & Education Global Network (Kenya), and others.  Participating in the competition, children will get to know how to create their own science project based on public-free Remote Sensing data. We believe that satellite images are an important part of environmental sciences and climate education. Using available data, school students can learn and discover how the climate crisis has an effect on the environment and, in particular, how climate change has changed their home regions over the years.

The competition is free of charge and will be conducted entirely online. The working language of the event is English.
Key Requirements:  The main condition for participation is to use remote sensing data in a research project. The competition is for individual entries only; team submissions are not permitted.

Upcoming Deadline: We would like to remind you about the approaching deadline for the first stage of the Ecoview competition.The participants have to complete their registration (registration form<https://forms.gle/RydHi6mY1WDUBPLV7>) by 31 October 2024 and submit their project work to gis_rs at man.gov.ua<mailto:gis_rs at man.gov.ua> by the same date.
