[Phd] Second call for presentations - GIS Day PhD workshop on 20 November (extended deadline!)

Kedves Doktoranduszok!

Minden év november 20-án a GIS Day-t, azaz a térinformatika nemzetközi napját ünnepeljük. A Térképtudományi és Geoinformatikai Intézet az elmúlt években változatos programokkal készült erre az eseményre: középiskolákat látogattunk meg szakmapromóció céljából, valamint különböző ismeretterjesztő programokat szerveztünk. Idén szeretnénk ezt kibővíteni egy számotokra szervezett kötetlen házi workshoppal, ahol lehetőségetek nyílik egymás és az intézeti oktatók jobb megismerésére, illetve szakterületetekkel, kutatási témátokkal összefüggő aktív párbeszédre.
A workshop minden térképészeti, térinformatikai vagy távérzékelési témával foglalkozó doktorandusz számára nyitva áll, jelentkezni 10-15 perces rövid előadásokkal lehet (PPT, Prezi, stb). Ezekben nem feltétlenül kell tudományos eredményt bemutatni, megfogalmazhatjátok kérdéseiteket, szakmai problémáitokat, melyekre a résztvevőkkel közösen keresünk válaszokat. Azokat a doktoranduszokat, hallgatókat is várjuk, akik most nem szeretnének előadni - részvételük és gondolataik mindenki számára hasznosak lehetnek! Mindenki hozhat saját országára, kultúrájára jellemző rágcsálnivalót, innivalót - hogy a workshop után kötetlenül tudjuk folytatni a beszélgetést.

Dear PhD students!

Every year on 20 November, we celebrate GIS Day, the International Day of Geographic Information Systems. In recent years, the Institute of Cartography and Geoinformatics has prepared for this event with a variety of activities: we have visited secondary schools to promote our field and organised various educational programmes. This year, we would like to extend this with an informal in-house workshop for you to get to know each other and the Institute's lecturers better, and to engage in an active dialogue on your areas of expertise and research topics.
The workshop is open to all PhD students working on cartography, geoinformatics or remote sensing, and you can apply with short presentations of 10-15 minutes (PPT, Prezi, etc). These do not necessarily have to present scientific results, you can formulate your questions and professional problems, to which we will seek answers together with the participants. We also welcome PhD or graduate students who do not wish to present at this time - their participation and ideas can be useful for everyone! All of you are welcome to bring snacks and drinks from your own country and culture - so that we can continue the discussion informally after the workshop.
