He was the sponsor from 2001-2014 of the annual <i>David Woodward Memorial Fellowship in the History of Cartography</i>, and since 1990 has sponsored the annual <i>Holzheimer </i><i>Maps and America</i> <i>Lecture</i> series at the AGS collection in Milwaukee.</span><span style=""></span></font></p>

is the winner of the 2019 DR. WALTER RISTOW PRIZE FOR ACADEMIC
ACHIEVEMENT IN THE HISTORY OF CARTOGRAPHY. Mr. Rhodes is a career civil
servant who has served as an expert in Asia-Pacific affairs in a variety
of analytic, advisory, and staff positions in the government.</span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="2" face="georgia,times new roman,times,serif"><span style=""><b>THOMAS SANDER</b></span><span style=""> is Editor of “The Portolan”.</span></font></p>

interests are generally historical maps of Africa, with special
interest in miniatures of the continent and South Africa, plus maps of

is Assistant Professor of English at Virginia State University in
Petersburg. She earned her PhD in the interdisciplinary program Media,

the intersection between cartography and literature of the eighteenth
