These maps were recently displayed at the Art Institute of Chicago. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The Director and Curator of Asian Art for the MacLean Collection, Richard A. Pegg, PhD, will visit the university for a special presentation, jointly hosted by DU Libraries and the Rocky Mountain Map Society. Dr. Pegg’s recent books include <i>Cartographic Traditions in East Asian Maps (2015).</i> His presentation will discuss a number of unique characteristics found in Japanese maps in the MacLean Collection map library.
