I'm trying to make a Ptolemaic map which could approximate how one might
have looked for the 3rd century AD (rather than showing one that is based on
revisions that would have occurred after that time period).

To be
more precise, I'm trying to make a facsimile of a map of the early Sassanian
Empire and its western frontier with its Roman adversary, in the Pahlavi script
that was official for the empire at that time (using the original topographic
name spellings found in for example the inscription of Shapur I).

I
understand that "Manuscript X", aka Vaticanus graecus 191 are the earliest
available works from which we might get an idea of how a Ptolemaic map would
have looked prior to subsequent revisions from later times.

Could
anyone guide me as to how I can get place-name and coast-line coordinates (or
any idea of a Ptolemaic map based on them) for the area relevant to Asia Minor,
Mesopotamia, the southern and eastern coasts of the Black Sea, the Caucasus,
Syria, and the eastern coast of the Mediterranean (which constituted the
Roman-Persian frontier), or any of the other areas of the Sassanian
Empire?

Thanks in advance for your time.
