He had a long and fruitful career as a photographer of the American West. He participated in a number of events throughout the USA to preserve the legacy of the trails. From 1929 until his death, Jackson was Research Secretary of the Oregon Trail Memorial Association (OTMA), creating maps of pioneer trail routes and paintings of historic western scenes. His iconic photographs have been reproduced in numerous books and magazines over the years. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal'><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:0in;margin-bottom:.0001pt;line-height:normal'>Camille’s presentation will include Jackson’s photographs, correspondence, maps, and movie clips from the Howard R.
