[Hallgato] MSc Thesis Topics Offered in Collaboration with HUN-REN Institute

Dear First-Year MSc Students,

The HUN-REN Institute for Geological and Geochemical Research, part of the Research Centre for Astronomy and Earth Sciences, is offering two MSc thesis topics for interested students. A researcher from the HUN-REN Institute will jointly supervise each topic and me, Márton Pál, from the university side.

Topic 1. GIS-based surface analysis on the Moon, Mars or Venus, to evaluate landing sites and active regions
Supervisor: Ákos Kereszturi
Minimum requirement: Experience with GIS software, primarily QGIS or ArcGIS

Topic 2. Geospatial analysis on the geochemical data of the sediments of Lake Balaton
Supervisor: István Gábor Hatvani
Minimum requirement: Experience with R programming

If you are interested in either topic, please get in touch with Márton Pál (pal.marton at inf.elte.hu) by this Thursday at noon. A visit to the HUN-REN Institute will be organised for interested students on Monday, 20 October, in the afternoon.
