[Hallgato] Erasmus presentations in the Institute

Dear students,

Prof. Milan Konecny, from the Masaryk University in Brno (Czech Republic), will visit our Institute in the next week, from October 4 to 8. Prof. Konecny is the Director of Laboratory on Geoinformatics and Cartography in the Institute of Geography at Masaryk University. He was president of the International Cartographic Association (ICA) between 2003 and 2007, Steering and Advisory Board Committee member of Information Society Forum EU in Brussels, Digital Earth in Beijing, Global Map in Japan and GSDI in USA.

The visit is organized within the Erasmus programme supported by the European Union. During his visit, Prof. Konecny will offer two presentations for all the interested students and colleagues:

First presentation:
Title: Disaster Risk Reduction  in Big Data Era - cartographic and geoinformatics role and their potentials.
Date: Wednesday, October 6, 12-1:30 PM
Place: room 7.57

Second presentation:
Title: United Nations Agenda 2030 - spatial data supportive initiatives and strategies.
Date: Thursday, October 7, 12-1:30 PM
Place: room 7.55

All of you are invited to participate in both presentations.
