Urban 3D modeling
international summer school

Date: 23-29 August 2008
Aims: To give an overview of modern data acquisition, data processing and 
modeling methods related to 3D modeling in urban environments. The study 
area is the historical town of Székesfehérvár (Alba Regia), the town where 
Hungarian kings were crowned.
Topics: students will take part in keynote lectures, practical hands-on 
exercises and fieldwork on
Heritage management, Building 3D cities - Photo/GPS/mobile data capture, 
Advanced 3D data acquisition methods, 3D data sources, Digital terrestrial 
photogrammetry, Aerial laser scanning, Terrestrial laser scanning, Virtual 
Earth, 3D bird's eye view, street view, 3D spatial analysis and 
visualization, 3D rendering, 3D animation
Venue: Lands and GI Knowledge Center
Faculty of Geoinformatics, University of West Hungary
Credits: 2 ECTS credit points,
equivalent to 60 hours of workload.
Fee: Early registration before 01.06.2008: 400 €.
Late registration after 01.06.2008: 500 €
Accommodation: in 1-3 bed dorms
with breakfast 100-200 €/week.
