Working groups

  1. Instructor's kit all material collated and ready for copying. Copies available from 1 September as (i) complete book (ii) paper copies (iii) on disk. TB to circulate letter to member federations giving costs.
  2. Materials: LN to compile new list of available materials. Letter to be circulated with the letter above.
  3. Simple maps: Toby Stenbeck to complete work. AD to assist.
Instructors Conference
Main theme to be computers in o-mapping. SOF to organize and set up workshop on Saturday/Sunday before the WOC. FN to liaise with SOF map committee. IOF to pay accommodation costs for 2 delegates/country.

Budget
Increase required for cost of travel to courses in Hong Kong and Japan.

Survey research
BRD: Hamburg. Official base map+new photogrammetry.
SUI: Chur, 2 hours from Zurich. Official base map.
NOR: Drammen. Existing base map.
Letter distributed to Congress participants and member federations.
Surveyors to de their own drawing to existing specifications - to RH for printing.

Revision of Drawing Specifications
Working group appointed to prepare draft proposals: FN, RH, TK. Federations to cover costs, at least for the first year.

Courses
DDR: 10-16 April 89 for experienced mappers. TB + Jorg Luchsinger.
HKG/JAP: November/December 88 (G. Mosevoll) FN, TB.
URS: LN to liaise. Sue Harvey a possible instructor (speaks Russian).
ISR: with DPC in spring 89. FN to liaise with John Pearson.

ICA Conference
In Hungary in 89. Materials and video to be sent.
