Minutes from the last meeting in Denmark are approved.

Council-meeting 21-23. Nov., remarks to the minutes.

- IOF-Bulletin The Map Committee should public more about mapping in the IOF. AD will collect reports from clinics and meetings and make short conclusions for the report.

- TA on WOC A letter will be sent to the TK to confirm the necessity of a mapping-assistant to the technical adviser on WOC.

- WOC France Short report from TB about the work as mapping-assistant in France.

Members of the Map Committee. MC is missing a good, active person from the East-European countries. The council will be asked for contacts to possible persons. Members from other continents, which are not able to he present at committee meetings, should be informed further on as contact-persons, not committee-members. They will have the possibility to make written proposals.

Veteran World-Cup-maps

The committee does not agree to the production of special VWC-maps. The possibility of raising the scale of the maps from 1:15000 to 1:10000 without changing generalisation will be discussed with the next revision of the drawing-specifications.
Norway and Switzerland already have produced such maps.

Working groups

Simple maps Anders Timner is working on and publishing it in March 1987.

Instructor's kit. Till the 1st of April comments and proposals should be sent to TB. Slides on different subjects and OHP-transparencies are welcome, too. Kit will be published at the instructor s conference.

Publications

The reprinted drawing-specifications will be distributed within the next weeks.

Budget has been approved by the council.

Place: Magglingen Date: August 29th/30th 1987.
Invitation with program will be sent to the member-countries end of March.
Limit: 2 map-instructors from each country (excl. members of the IOF-Map Committee). Themes: see appendix.

Map-clinics 1987

Austria: March 28th/29th Pinkafeld

Italy: November 13-15 Prato/Florence

Eastern Europe: FN will ask Rolf Heinemann for the possibility to organize a clinic for mappers in Eastern Europe in the GDR.

World Cup-Maps

Controls of the quality of the maps beeing used for World Cup events are very difficult, this task should be left to the World Cup group.
