[Hallgato] Short introduction to the Cartographic Information Processing and School Cartography subject

Dear students,

Allow us to give you a brief introduction to this subject, which in the Neptun system appears with the code ITM-ECIPSCG and whose title may appear in Hungarian (Kartográfiai információ-feldolgozás és oktatási térképek). This subject will be taught in English, as it was created to facilitate presentations by professors from universities of other countries who visit us under the Erasmus program and so that students who attend their presentations can obtain two credits at the end of the semester.
This semester professor Angelica di Maio (director of the Institute of Geosciences at the Federal Fluminense University in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) will visit our institute. She will be here in the week of October 12-16, where will offer five presentations related to the topics of Cartography, Spatial Thinking and Educational Projects, on dates that we will announce later.
Before Angelica’s visit, I will teach classes on School Cartography on Thursdays from 12 to 1:30 pm, starting on September 10. The topics planned for the semester are: Geovisualization-based solutions in School Cartography, Presence of the School Cartography in Erwin Raisz’s Lifework and presentation of international projects on School Cartography.
