MERA
In the frame of the regional PHARE programme, the FÖMI RSC participates in MERA (MARS and Environmental Related Applications of GIS + RS) for monitoring and evaluation of natural and cultivated landscape vegetation. The project is in harmony with the MARS Programme (Monitoring Agriculture with Remote Sensing) in the EU. FÖMI RSC is the National Focal Point of the project and also takes the main part from the implementation. The first MERA project (1994-96) is also accomplished, while the next (1996-1997/98) is underway. For more information see Chapter 7.3
