He has found out about family's Polish place of origin, Manó's birthplace, has collected documents of his activities in Vienna, Sopron, Paris and Budapest, how he created Hungarian cartography. The volume is an authentic description of Hungary 100 years ago, it also includes the title descriptions of the 542 Kogutowicz-maps now available. Title descriptions of 122 castle-drawings and maps. Indexes of themes, names and geography. The author was asked in 1975, to identify the drawings of the fortresses of Turkish times, kept at the Royal War Archiv in Stockholm, most of them being related to Hungary. The volume presents the medieval histrory of Sweden, Turkey and Hungary, the drawing of maps, copies of the 122 fortress-drawings and maps, and it answers the question how these drawings of Hungarian fortresses could have got to Stockholm.
