Organise a seminar on cartography and cartographic education in a developing nation.

 Communication with sister organisations
Establish linkages with the education committees for sister surveying and mapping disciplines.

 Interact with other ICA commissions
Interact with other ICA commissions and working groups to organize joint workshops.

 Mailing list
Establish and maintain a mailing list.

 Projects between nations
Develop and promote joint projects between participating nations represented on the commission.
    
9.
 Mapping awareness competitions
Develop mapping awareness competitions for young enthusiasts of cartography.
    
10.
 Emerging technologies
Investigate the role of emerging technologies for use in education and training.
    
11.
 Academic papers
Develop and maintain the repository of academic papers on education and training in cartography.

 Cartographic Resources
Develop and maintain a webpage dedicated to teaching and learning resources.
    
13.
 Occasional Articles
Develop articles for the GIMMS magazine and the ICA newsletter.
    
14.
 ICA Research Agenda
Liaise with the coordinators and develop research projects.
    
15.
 Cartographic Resources for Developing Countries
Create a package (workbook, CD) of cartographic teaching and learning resources for use in developing countries.
    
16.
 Calender of events
Create and maintain a listing of conferences, seminars and workshops relevant to cartographic educators.
    
17.
 Forum
Create and maintain a virtual forum for cartographers to share their ideas and views.
    
18.
 Young cartographic educators
Develop a webpage devoted to the interests of emerging cartographic educators and trainers.
    
19.
 Newsletter
Produce a regular e-newsletter on cartographic education.
    
20. Website management
Design and content management of the CET website
