3. Systems of spatial links

Apart from geographical names, there are other systems of spatial links:

• Geographical coordinates, UTM coordinates

• Local grids

• Map grids

• Street addresses

• Numbers

• Letters

For instance: Go to 50°092 North, 8°662 East! means: go to the office building of the German Topographic Agency (BKG) at Villa Mumm in Frankfurt am Main.
